Bill has over 30 years of experience as a financier, investor and business leader, with a lifelong commitment to social and environmental causes.

A former interim consulting CFO, he has worked with PE-backed firms, global multinationals, start-ups and entrepreneur-led businesses, bringing extensive corporate finance expertise across IPOs, acquisitions, venture capital, joint ventures and multi-billion-euro transactions.

Through Silent Spring Group, he supports companies that champion sustainability, the circular economy and lasting social impact.

Michael Coulthard

Michael Coulthard

Michael brings over a decade of forensic accounting and risk management experience, combining deep analytical capability with a commitment to purposeful, socially responsible business. His background spans complex investigations, whistleblowing , and data driven insight generation skills that underpin his work assessing the integrity, resilience, and long term sustainability of the companies we partner with.

He is particularly interested in how organisations can align positive social impact with strong commercial results. Michael’s focus areas include ethical governance, sustainability, mental health in the workplace, and the broader responsibilities of businesses in shaping a fairer society. He is energised by conversations about AI risk, Human Rights, and the evolving expectations placed on modern enterprises.

He is passionate about helping purposeful companies to achieve their strategic objectives. Roy Lauder

Roy Lauder 

Roy Lauder combines entrepreneurial drive with two decades of consulting expertise. An engineer by background, he began his career on major infrastructure projects from Iraq to South Korea before co-founding ventures in energy and serving as Regional Director for a European utility in Asia. These experiences gave him a global perspective on how businesses grow and adapt in complex environments. 

Back in the UK, Roy has spent 20 years advising mid-sized, owner-managed businesses across sectors from finance and insurance to oil & gas and manufacturing. He is known for helping leadership teams sharpen vision, strategy, and culture while ensuring practical delivery through effective project management, risk oversight, and stakeholder engagement. 

At Silent Spring Group, Roy brings a proven track record of guiding companies through growth, succession, and long-term value creation, always with a focus on aligning diverse teams and building confidence among stakeholders. 

Donald McCalman

Donald McCalman

Donald worked as a successful business consultant and programme manager across the telecoms, utilities, entertainment and public sectors. He is strong in stakeholder management –covering the political and commercial domains – and has led major procurement, contract management, business design and performance improvement programmes over his career.
 

Nicky Power

Nicky Power

Nicky brings a diverse background in logistics, retail, and aviation to his role at Silent Spring Group, where he specializes in client relations and communication.

He began his career in the logistics sector, where he played a key role in large-scale operations transporting critical equipment such as medical devices. This early experience taught him the importance of precision, workplace safety, and attention to detail under pressure.

From there, Nicky moved into retail, gaining hands-on experience in customer service. His time in retail strengthened his ability to engage directly with clients, resolve issues quickly, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Nicky then transitioned into the aviation industry, spending three years with Ryanair and United Airlines. In these roles, he worked under tight deadlines to help achieve on-time departures, managed face-to-face customer interactions. Nicky is passionate about ensuring every client interaction reflects Silent Spring Group’s commitment to excellence, trust, and long-term partnership.
